Equality vs. Integration

Glenn Ellis grew up in segregated Birmingham, Ala. He recalls a happy childhood, despite the culture of discrimination and inequality. Ellis tells of a social experiment where he, along with several classmates, were allowed to attend a movie at the Alabama Theatre in downtown Birmingham. Through his recollection, Ellis reflects on the concepts of "separate but equal" and integration.
