Darryl Walker attended the 1963 March on Washington, and recalls the good nature of the crowd - people sharing with one another. He said, "Whether it's for the black people, for the Native Americans, for Gay/Lesbian people for Latino people, regardless of the cause, I think he sort of set the blueprint of how protest marches and rallies should be conducted."
