What I remember about the March

When I was a kid growing up in Massachusetts, the family across the street was black - both mom and dad were college professors. I remember my sister telling me that their teenage son decided to go down to the march. When he returned, we found out that he had been badly beaten. He was bruised all over. I couldn't make much sense out of the tv coverage, except to realize that there was a whole other world out there where people were treated very differently, harassed and sometimes killed due to the color of their skin. I was surprised to find out that there were separate schools for black people and even restaurants and drinking fountains in the south. No one had ever told us about that kind of thing in school an even after the march, not much was discussed about it. This is an amazing website and the ebook is beautifully designed and written. Thanks for doing this.
