The late civil rights leader Rev. C.T. Vivian reflects on meeting Dr. King in Nashville, Tenn., and joining the fight for civil rights. He reflects on Gandhi-inspired nonviolence — the method of the movement. In 1961, Vivian joined Freedom Riders in Montgomery on their journey to Jackson, Miss., where he was ultimately arrested and jailed.
