Protesting for Equal Pay

Janie Young Price of St. Augustine, Florida, worked in a hospital as an RN. Upon accidentally receiving the wrong paycheck, she realized that she was not being paid equivalent to her white co-workers. Her supervisor told her, "Well, that's the way it is, and if you don't like it, let the doorknob hit you in the back." She joined the movement to fight for equal pay.
