Meeting a Hero After the March

Nolan Atkinson attended the March on Washington and afterward met baseball great Jackie Robinson in the airport while waiting for his flight home. They spoke of the experience and "both agreed in some form or fashion that this had been a grand moment, a powerful statement." The March inspired Atkinson, who said, I had a stronger drive to make a contribution in some small way, to make a difference.
