'It Was Everybody, Together'
David Auspitz
David Auspitz of Philadelphia was just 17 years old when he heard that a march was being scheduled in Washington, DC. He and a friend drove down to DC to attend. He recalled his observation when he arrived at the nations capital, "It was not a sea of black faces. It was not a sea of white faces with a sprinkling of African Americans in the support. It was everybody together." Auspitz also reflects on the impact of that event, and its legacy.
