A Quota for Black Students

Dolores Brewer, Mercy Douglass Nurses Alumni Association, discusses discrimination she experienced in school and in her career. She said, "I was accepted at all the schools, but when the time came to go be admitted, they had taken their quota. They sent you a letter and told you ... we do not have a position for you at this time ... we have accepted our two colored students and you may apply next year."
