Kneel-Ins to Protest Segregation

Civil rights activist Barbara Vickers on racial tension and violence in St. Augustine, and kneel-in protests in an attempt to integrate white churches. When referencing the violence, she said, "At night they would come through shooting, shoot our lights out every night because they didn't want us in that area. Many a nights I cooked by the refrigerator light because I was afraid to burn the lights."
