A Childhood in Segregation

Linda Crayton recalls living in Arkansas under segregation, the beginnings of the Civil Rights Movement, and reflects on the future: "I try to tell my son and younger kids, 'This is what happened before.' I think we need to continue to read. I think we need to continue to tell our story, however it may be, so people don't take for granted that we have always had these rights and responsibilities."
